    The 1600 Series IP Telephones - Avaya one-X? Deskphone Value Edition is a family of cost-effective IP Telephones that deliver familiar features at an attractive price point for customers with basic communications needs. The family includes a portfolio of phones designed to meet a range of end-user needs including the call center. Designed as a stand-alone portfolio, these telephones may be intermixed with other Avaya IP telephones, especially the Avaya one-X? Deskphones (9600 series). Combining the features of traditional telephones and the latest in telephone user experience, 1600 Series IP Telephones - Avaya one-X? Deskphone Value Edition telephones provide critical capabilities not often found in competitively priced models.

    The 1600 Series IP Telephones - Avaya one-X Deskphone Value Edition are cost-effective IP Telephones designed to support four user profiles: Walkup, Everyday, Navigator, and Call Center.

    • Walkup users use phones in locations such as common areas in offices, stockrooms, lobbies, or drop-in desks. Users are building visitors, employees, or even customers who need a phone with a simple, familiar interface.
    • Everyday users typically rely on several forms of communication, including voice and email. While Everyday users require a quality telephone, they rarely receive more than five or six calls per day. Cubicle workers, and sales staff within a retail store, are examples of Everyday users.
    • Navigator Users (Branch receptionists and admins) are people who answer incoming calls, transfer customers to different departments or extensions, and monitor several line appearances throughout a typical day.
    • Call Center Agents are interfacing with customers throughout each work shift - and spend the majority of their time in conversation on the deskphone.  Call Center Agents require specific ACD features to be available from their deskphone.

    Common Value Edition Telephone Features:

    • Each line button includes dual LEDs (red, green) providing explicit status for the user. For a familiar look and feel, these telephones include several fixed feature keys for common telephone tasks including conference, transfer, drop, hold and mute.
    • The display on all phone models is backlit for easier viewing in all lighting conditions.
    • A high quality full duplex speaker phone.

    The Avaya 1603 IP Telephone:

    • Designed for Walkup and Everyday user profiles (this telephone is especially practical when used in conjunction with the Avaya IP Softphone).
    • Supports 3 line appearances/feature keys.
    • The display on the 1603 measures two lines by 16 characters.

    The Avaya 1608 IP Telephone:

    • Designed for the Everyday user profile.
    • Supports eight line appearances/feature keys.
    • Support for a broad portfolio of Avaya wired and wireless headsets through its integrated headset jack.
    • A context-sensitive user interface and three softkeys and a four-way navigation cluster for scrolling through local contacts list or call logs.

    The 302D Attendant Console is a two-wire unit with optional expansion module 26C. It works behind any Avaya DEFINITY® system running any release of software that supports any two-wire DCP line circuit card. It is also supported in configurations running Communication Manager on Avaya Media Servers and Media Gateways.

    The 302D comes in three colors: gray, black and Avaya white. The display is a 1-line x 40-character universal display that will support Katakana, Roman and Euro font character sets. Label languages are Japanese, English, French, Dutch, Spanish Latin America, Italian, German, Canadian French, Brazilian Portuguese and two of each label are included with each console.

    The standards-based Avaya 4600 Series IP Telephones bring the rich features and functions of Avaya Communication Manager directly to the desktop, while also supporting desktop applications above and beyond telephony. Several models are available, ranging from entry-level voice over IP telephones to those built specifically for demanding contact center environments, to sophisticated color-display screenphones.  The 4600 Series IP Telephones can be deployed in traditional office environments as well as remotely ? via an integrated VPN client and are easily configured to support both the H.323 protocol as well as SIP.

    The Avaya 4600 Series IP Telephones deliver an extensive set of software features, high audio quality, and attractive streamlined design.Avaya 4600 Series IP Telephones are simple to use with both fixed and flexible feature buttons, easy-to-read graphics including back lighting and color displays on some models, and several wall mount and desk mount options. They have been optimized for reliable use in IP networks, with sophisticated security capabilities such as media encryption and protection from denial of service attacks. Built-in Ethernet switch ports enable streamlined desktop implementations, while voice packets are tagged with the appropriate quality of service (QoS) parameters such as 802.1q and DiffServ for priority treatment by QoS-enabled IP networks. It also includes a two-port Ethernet switch. The Avaya 4690 IP Speakerphoneprovides the convenience and productivity benefits inherent in a purpose-built hands-free conference phone. It also delivers the extensive set of Avaya Communication Manager features directly to the conference room. It offers many of the same features as other Avaya speakerphones (360 degree coverage, two optional extended microphones for expanded coverage, full-duplex operation) and adds to them some additional capabilities. These include downloadable software upgrades and simplified wiring to IP network via Ethernet LAN connectivity.The  Gigabit Ethernet adapter for 4600 Series enables IP Phones to operate in a Gigabit Ethernet environment. With the adapter installed up-line of a 46xx IP Telephone, a single Gigabit Ethernet desktop drop can provide a 10/100Mbps connection to the IP Telephone and a Gigabit connection to a personal computer. It is an un-managed device and is physically stand-alone from the phone. The adapter will operate off local power or PoE (subject to the phone's power requirements).

    The Avaya 5400 series adds several enhancements over previous generations of digital telephones and works exclusively with Avaya IP Office for the benefit of small and medium sized businesses.     The Avaya 5402 is a cost effective two-wire digital telephone, for many office applications. It is designed to complement the 5410 mid-level and 5420 executive telephones. The 5402 has a 2-line x 24-character display with two label-less call appearances, a Listen-Only Speaker, 10 Fixed Feature Keys: Conference, Transfer, Drop, Redial, Speaker, Message, Hold, Mute, Volume Up & Down, and Feature (to access 12 additional dial pad features). The 5402 is Hearing Aid Compatible, has a Message Waiting Indicator that flashes when ringing, eight Personalized Ring Patterns and is either desk or wall mountable.

    The Avaya 5410 is a flexible display telephone with several capabilities such as local call log and speed dial not available on previous generations of digital telephones. It has a 5 x 29 display with 12 label-less call appearances (in two screens); two-way speakerphone, 14 fixed feature keys, four softkeys, 12 shifted feature buttons, large message waiting indicator, headset jack, local language customization, eight Personalized Ring Patterns and is either desk or wall mountable.

    The Avaya 5420 Digital Telephone sports an array of convenient features, while supporting expansion capabilities and effective integration with current infrastructure investments. This telephone provides a large-scale display for easy viewing and call control with 24 call appearance/feature buttons. Administration and ongoing maintenance is simplified as the switch automatically performs key/button labeling. This eliminates the time-consuming and laborious task of using paper labels to denote phone features, and reduces costs when moving phones among users or offices. Online access to electronic downloads gives near-instant access for key product upgrades and feature enhancements as they occur. Additional features such as call logging and a speed-dial directory help enhance overall productivity by providing users with the tools needed for more effective call tracking and faster outbound calling capabilities.

    The EU24 is an add-on unit that works in association with the 5420 telephones. It provides an additional 24 programmable buttons with associated display label and status icons.

    The 5602 IP Telephone is an entry-level telephone with two programmable call appearance/feature keys, ten fixed feature buttons and a 2x24 character display. The 5602SW offers the same functionality plus an integrated two-port Ethernet switch. Both the 5602 and 5602SW support static and dynamic IP address assignment.

    The 5610 IP Telephone provides a 5x29 character graphic display, paperless button labels, call log, speed dial, 12 programmable feature keys, Web browser and two-way speakerphone. It also includes a two-port Ethernet switch. The 5610 supports Unicode fonts with R2.1 firmware.

    The 5621 IP Telephone is cost effective and provides a 7x29 character back-lit graphic display, paperless button labels, call log, speed dial, 24 programmable feature keys, web browser and two-way speakerphone. The 5621 also includes a 2 port ethernet switch.

    The Avaya 9610 IP Telephone, part of the Avaya one-X? Deskphone Edition family, is designed for a "walk-up" user profile, for use in common areas such as building lobbies, break rooms and hallways.

    In all instances, the 9610 should not be associated with a single end user's desk, but rather will be shared by visitors and building employees. With a large display and built-in web browser, the 9610 provides intuitive access to simple applications such as building directories, visitor information, news and events. The 9610 supports a single call appearance and per the walkup profile - does not support hold, conference or transfer.



    The 9610 IP Telephone features a 3.33-inch diagonal monochrome backlit display,  which has been enhanced with higher resolution (1/4 VGA) versus other available monochrome telephones from Avaya.

    Avaya 9610 IP Telephones are specifically designed for walk-up use, meaning use in common areas such as lobbies, secondary conference rooms, and printer or copier rooms. The 9610 is not intended to be associated with an individual user, but rather is associated with a location and will be shared by visitors and building employees. With this in mind, the 9610 interface is simple and intuitive. Extra features and buttons typically required by power users were removed from the 9610 to keep the experience simple and easy for walk-up users.  Note - the 9610 does not support hold, transfer, conference.

    Through its integrated web browser and backlit display, the 9610 supports productivity enhancing phone applications such as access to building directories, visitor information, news and events. With its dual position flip stand, the 9610 makes a smart-looking addition to any building lobby or visitor area.

    With enhanced protection against denial of service attacks and support for 802.1x, as well as improved VLAN separation, the 9610 delivers a high level of security and reliability.

    The 9620 IP Telephone features a 3.45 inch (9 cm) diagonal monochrome backlit display - which has been enhanced with higher resolution (1/4 VGA) versus other available monochrome telephones from Avaya. The 9620 supports up to 12 call appearances / administered feature keys - with three concurrent line appearances visible at any time.

    The 9620 features several LED lights and buttons. LED lights on the side of the display provide explicit status of different line appearances, while LEDs built into several buttons on the phone such as Mute, Message, and Headset provide an intuitive and simple experience for the everyday end user.

    The user interface on the 9620 is helpful and intuitive. So completing call transfers and setting up ad hoc conference calls is simple and can be executed with confidence - even for the casual, everyday user.

    Beginning in June '07, the 9620 will support SIP telephony features along with additional SIP enhancements - including display of  telephone "presence" of other users from the phone contact list, integration with MS Outlook calendar appointments, changeable display skins.
